UPcycling Project is a group of artists, educators and craftsman collaborating on unique design & fit-out projects.
We create unique spaces for schools and learning centers as well as for business enterprises from concept drawings / material selection / project management / to the finishing touches on-site.
The scope of projects varies from a single piece of furniture to the full refitting of the spaces such as library, reception area or multisensory room.
UPcycling Project cooperates with many producers and end-of-use material distributors such as ReCreate Ireland and SMILE Resources. Recently we have also teamed up with Irish Rail Iarnród Éireann using their materials in our projects.
We are also a member of Community Reuse Network Ireland - all-Ireland representative body for community based reuse, recycling and waste prevention organisations. CRNI is funded by the Environmental Protection Agency under the National Waste Prevention Program.
We do not own the Earth - we lease it from our children. It is up to us in what shape we will return it to them.
This motto drives all UPcycling Project actions. We strongly support Circular Economy idea and believe that preserving our resources by recycling, reusing and upcycling we can build a better world for us and our children.
This is why a group of artists, educators, designers and carpenters joined the project, to be active and support local communities with their time, talents, skills and knowledge.
We insist on reusing clean end-of-use materials in our projects with the benefit for businesses, local communities and environment.
In our projects we focus on using as many en-of-use products as possible. The major material we use is wood: pallets, boxes, crates were mostly single used packaging in their previous life. But we are also happy to use other materials such as steel, plastic, cardboard and fabrics. Even paint used in our projects comes from re-distributing centre!
For every project we try to source most suitable materials and if necessary search for the new suppliers. Due to permanently expanding our network, UPcycling Project catalogue of materials is constantly growing - just take a look.
UPcycling Project works with artists, teachers, educators and professionals of many trades to develop high quality projects. The UPcycling Project breaks down barriers between people, organisations and ideas by encouraging sharing of skills and knowledge. Our partnership is innovative, unique and mutually beneficial.
